Grevillea Ruby Jewel |
Grevillea Ruby Jewel is a hybrid cross of Grevillea rhyolitica and this plant was bred by Ian Shimmen of Bushland Flora. The plants glossy compact form with bright red flowers grows to a height of 1m and has a spread of 1.5m making it excellent to use as a garden border, rockery plant, specimen plant or as low level planting for any landscape. Grevillea Ruby Jewel is a hardy low maintenance small to medium shrub, with attractive foliage & flowers and has the adaptability to cope with dry conditions and light frosts. This plant variety is new to the plant market, and will have an advantage over other Grevillea varieties, because of the plant’s selected parentage by crossing species that are already proven hardy varieties. There are similar varieties such as Grevillea Lady ‘O’PBR, Grevillea victoriae, Grevillea rhyolitica and these plants can be mixed to create textural and flower variations within the landscape. |
