Hibbertia Golden Sunburst is a selected hardier variety than other Hibbertia species. It is a compact ground cover with attractive fine green foliage, with mass golden yellow flowers that appear from middle to late spring; this species of Hibbertia will tolerate wet periods and this plant has also tolerated the dry conditions experienced over the long summer months of recent times. This small shrub grows from a height of 0.3m and has a spread of 0.5m, making it excellent to use as a garden border, rockery plant, and specimen plant, or as low level planting which is ideal for any landscape. This small shrub has the adaptability to cope with dry conditions and medium frosts. Hibbertia Golden Sunburst is new to the plant market, and this plant’s advantage over other Hibbertia species is its dense compact habit, fine compact green foliage and hardier performance in varying conditions. This plant adds biodiversity by attracting butterflies during spring when in flower. The following list of other forms of Hibbertia species available include: Hibbertia cuneiformis, Hibbertia grossulariifolia, Hibbertia pendunculata, Hibbertia procumbens, Hibbertia scandens, Hibbertia sericea, and Hibbertia truncate.
