Westringia Deeppurple |
Westringia Deeppurple is a unique form of Westringia which is naturally found around Wild River in NSW, (species unknown). Deeppurple can be shaped to form a lush green low level hedge and has deep mauve flowers throughout the year. Deeppurple is an excellent plant to use where height restrictions are required for small gardens to large scale landscapes. Deeppurple is extremely versatile and can be used to create informal and formal gardens. This small compact shrub grows best in full sun and part shaded areas; and is adaptable to most well drained soils, requiring little maintenance other than a light tip prune once established. Deeppurple is frost and drought tolerant to most eastern states of Australia. Deeppurple grows to a height of 0.5 - 0.1m and has a spread of 0.5 - 0.1m making it excellent as a specimen plant; or can be planted on mass to create low formal hedges. This Westringia stays lush all year round. Deeppurple’s outstanding features have made it distinguishable from other forms of Westringia’s.
